GENEVA, OH - Swarthmore College women's track & field juniors
Rose Teszler and
Adria Retter closed out the 2022 campaign at the NCAA Track & Field Championships on Friday.
Teszler ran in the prelims of 800-meter, while Retter competed in the shot put event.
In the 800-meter run, Teszler ran a 2:15.91 to earn an 18th place finish. The junior entered the event ranked 21st, and she finished three positions higher than her seed spot. Teszler caps off a successful 2021-22 academic year as she competed in the NCAA National Championships across three different seasons for cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field.
Retter earned an 18th place finish in the shot put event with a throw of 12.70m. The junior entered the event ranked 18th with a season best mark of 13.69m. In each of her three attempts, Retter saw progression with her throws. The first throw recorded a distance of 12.23m, while the second toss had 12.54m and the final throw of the day finished with a throw of 12.70m.
Yesterday, Retter earned a third place finish in the discus throw to earn All-America status. The junior recorded a top throw of 44.90m in the event.
Nora Blodgett competed in the steeplechase for the Garnet as she earned an 18th place finish.
