The Swarthmore College Athletics Communications Office is responsible for the internal and external promotion of the College's 22 intercollegiate varsity sports. This includes, but not limited to:
~ maintains www.swarthmoreathletics.com, the online home of Swarthmore College Athletics
~ produces all post-competition releases
~ compiles all statistical information
~ tracks overall historical records
~ creates all athletics publications
~ distributes all information to local, regional, and national media outlets
~ maintains a social media presence among multiple platforms
For Media
- Members of the media wishing to cover an event at Swarthmore, please contact the athletic communications office 48 hours in advance of the event, to ensure the proper credentials, seating, and resources are available.
- All media requests for an interview of an student-athlete, coach, or administrator should be directed to the athletic communications office.
- Photographers are asked to coordinate with the on-site administrator at least 30 minutes prior to an event, to establish the acceptable locations from which to work.
- Swarthmore maintains the exclusive rights to live video streaming of its home events.
INTERNSHIPS
Swarthmore College Athletics Communications offers unpaid academic internships for college students interested in careers in sports management and athletics communications.
