DIVISION III COMPLIANCE
 
Division III expects its members to operate their athletics programs with integrity and in a welcoming manner that complies with conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Institutional control is a fundamental principle that supports the educational mission of a college or university and assumes presidential involvement and oversight.
 
Division III considers it a best practice to have a compliance coordinator whose primary responsibility is the oversight of the institution's compliance system, the coordination of the institution's rules education and the monitoring of rules compliance.
 
Division III also encourages compliance to have a teamwork approach in which all members of the athletics department and other personnel across campus who are associated with athletics conduct the program with the highest levels of integrity and fairness.

  • Form-23-03f: Drug Testing Consent
  • NCAA Banned Drugs List - The Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports approved a modification to the NCAA banned substance list to further align with the World Anti-Doping Agency's Prohibited List. Sports for which beta-blockers are prohibited now include golf. If a student-athlete in rifle or golf tests positive for a beta-blocker during an NCAA drug test, schools should follow the procedures outlined in Section 8.0 of the NCAA Drug-Testing Manual to request a medical exception.
