GENEVA, OH - Swarthmore College women's track & field senior
Nora Blodgett placed 16th overall in the steeplechase as she represented the Garnet at the NCAA National Championships on Thursday night.
DAY ONE RESULTS
Blodgett placed one position higher than her seed as she crossed the finish line at 11:14.06 to earn a 16th place finish. The effort marked her third fastest steeplechase time of the season. The senior previously ran a top time of 10:57.84, which ranked second overall in program history.
Earlier in the day,
Adria Retter earned a third place finish in the discus throw to earn All-America status. The junior recorded a top throw of 44.90m in the event.

The Garnet return to action tomorrow with Retter in the shot put and
Rose Teszler in the 800m run. The shot put begins at 2:00 pm, while the 800m prelims go off at 4:00 p.m.
