Osazenoriuwa Ebose broke a Centennial Conference record in the shot put to lead the Swarthmore College women's track & field team to a fifth-place finish among 10 schools at the Centennial Conference Championships on Sunday, May 3 at Muhlenberg's Scotty Wood Stadium. The Garnet finished with 90 points and saw three records fall over the course of the day.
Johns Hopkins, which produced the top three finishers and five of the top six in the 5,000-meter run at the end of the meet, won its sixth straight title by accumulating 157 points. Dickinson was second with 129 points and Haverford was third with 114. Ursinus (98), Swarthmore (90), Gettysburg (87), Muhlenberg (78), Franklin & Marshall (36), McDaniel (16) and Bryn Mawr (14) completed the field.
Ebose broke her own Centennial Conference and school record in the shot put for the second time this spring by recording a toss that sailed 49-feet, 8.25-inches on her final throw. The mark bettered the runner-up finisher from Gettysburg by nearly eight feet and ranks first nationally. Ebose's feat comes a day after she shattered the school record to win the discus throw with a toss that ranks eighth in the nation.
Sophomore
Lulu Allen-Waller also had an impressive afternoon by factoring into a trio of runner-up performances. She finished second in the 100-meter high hurdles and 400-meter intermediate hurdles with personal-best times of 14.87 seconds and 1:02.26, respectively, before running the leadoff leg for the 4x400-meter relay that finished in 4:01.34 also included junior

Julia Nee. Allen-Waller also broke the school record in the 400 hurdles for the second consecutive day with a mark that ranks 12th in the country.
In what came down to a photo finish, junior
Sarah Nielsen edged out Haverford's Katie Sullivan by nine one-hundredths of a second to capture the 800-meter run crown in a time of 2:15.48. Classmate
Katie Lin also scored in the event by placing sixth in 2:20.30.
Sophomore
Maggie O'Neil rounded out the list of top-three finishes on the final day. She placed third in the javelin throw with a school record-breaking toss that traveled 110-10. The sophomore also finished sixth in the shot put by registering a mark of 38-6.75 to finish the weekend with three personal bests.
Swarthmore will host a final qualifier meet on Monday, May 11 at 3:30 p.m.
