RESULTSHAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's track and field team competed in the McElligott Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7 hosted by Haverford College.
On the field, Senior
Osazenoriuwa Ebose launched her way to first place in the shot put with a toss of 42-feet, 11.50-inches. She also eclipsed her own program standard in the event which was previously 42-10.75.
Junior
Sarah Nielsen crushed the competition in the mile run with a first-place time of 5:06.21 – ten seconds ahead of the runner-up finisher from Haverford. Sophomore Lulu Allen-Waller also nabbed first place in the 60-meter hurdles and finished with a time of 9.56 seconds.
Senior Julie Nee rounded the corner in third place in 28.18 in the 200-meter dash, while sophomore
Anise Charles followed close behind Nee in fourth place in 28.66. Allen-Waller along with fellow teammates Charles, Nee, and junior
Katie Lin also placed second in the 4x200-meter relay with Lin crossing the finish line at 1:51.40.
Swarthmore will travel to Boston next weekend for the Valentine Invitational on Feb. 13-14.
