LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Elizabeth Page and
Tate Garcia were chosen the Centennial Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week respectively on Tuesday by the conference office.
Page registered a strong showing in the 800 meters at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge, racing to the 18
th-fastest time on the Division III national list. Page finished third in the race with a time of 2:18.13.
Garcia secured a pair of top-20 national marks in Swarthmore's season-opening event at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge. The senior took second in the shot put with a mark of 12.93 meters, which ranks seventh on the national list. She also took ninth in the discus at 39.33 meters, which currently ranks 18
th in Division III.
The Garnet travel to Widener University this weekend for the Danny Curran Invitational.
