CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lydia Morris-Kliment and
Tate Garcia of the Swarthmore College women's track & field team made their last attempts to qualify for the NCAA Championships on Thursday by traveling to the MIT Final Qualifier.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Morris-Kliment recorded a personal-best throw of 44.36m on her first attempt to finish fourth in the discus. The sophomore improved to No. 33 in the nation but unfortunately fell short of a top-22 spot required to advance to the national championships.
- Garcia was unable to climb up the Division III performance list, taking 10
th in the shot put with a distance of 11.95m.
