CHESTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's track & field team had a handful of athletes compete at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday as the Garnet begin their final push to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Lydia Morris-Kliment finished third in the discus with a personal-record throw of 43.76m. The sophomore improved to 37
th in the nation but remains 0.95 meters off of national championships contention.

Trel Trelstad tied for fifth place in the high jump, producing a height of 1.58m. The senior is just behind the nationals cut-off with a season best of 1.66m. The final qualifiers currently sit at 1.67m.

Tate Garcia came in fourth in the shot put with a distance of 12.44m.
Alyson Goldbacher took 10
th in the pole vault, posting a height of 3.00m.

Hannah Swale competed in a pair of events, finishing 10
th (29.99m) in the javelin and 16
th (4.75m) in the long jump. The junior currently occupies a national-qualifying spot in the heptathlon at No. 17 in the country.

Olivia Montini and
Morgan Mouer each recorded a personal best on the track. Montini crossed the line 20
th (4:42.00) in the 1500 while Mouer was 29
th (2:18.66) in the 800.
UP NEXT
Swarthmore's final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships will come on Thursday when the Garnet head to the MIT Final Qualifier.
