CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – The Swarthmore College men's golf team secured a seventh-place finish at the three-day Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Garnet posted a team score of 886, finishing 22 strokes over par, while recording the third-highest 54-hole score in program history.

Yuxuan Wang led the team with a three-round total of 219, finishing three-over par. The sophomore tied for 14th overall, achieving the seventh-lowest 54-hole total in program history.

Max Ash posted the team's lowest score of the day with a 71 (-1) in the final round, marking the third-lowest round of the weekend for Swarthmore.


HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wang finished three-over par to tie for 14th overall, carding a 76 (+4) to close out the tournament. He entered the final round at one-under par in seventh place and was tied for first after Friday's play.

- Ash moved up to 33rd overall after posting his best round of the weekend, shooting one-under par. After a pair of 76 (+4) rounds in the first two days, Ash finished the tournament at seven-over.

- Andy Xin tied for 43rd overall with a three-round total of eight-over. Xin shot a 77 (+5) in the final round, following a 74 (+2) and 73 (+1) in the opening rounds.

- Dylan Zhang shot a 76 (+4) in the final round to finish 14-over, tying for 70th overall.

- Judah Fulchiero bounced back from a tough second round, shooting a 73 (+1) on the final day to complement his 70 (-2) on day one.

UP NEXT
The Garnet men return to action at the Gettysburg Spring Shootout on April 18. Their female golfers will compete at the Ursinus Spring Classic on Thursday.
