WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team wrapped up the Centennial Championships with a fifth place finish on Sunday morning. 

The Garnet had their best round of the tournament, shooting two-over par on the final 18 holes. The team carded an 887 (+23) to record their second-best championship team score in program history and fourth best 54-hole total. 

Phelps Wang saved his best round for last with a two-under-par performance in the finale. The junior ended the tournament at one-under, finishing seventh overall to pace the Garnet. Wang recorded the third-lowest, 54-hole total in program history and the best individual championship score in team history. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wang was outstanding to close out the championships, carding a two-under-par to wrap up an excellent weekend. The junior got off to a remarkable start with a four-under on the front nine. He ended the day with seven birdies, which induced five on the front stretch. Wang finished in seventh overall at one-under for the tournament. 

- Dylan Zhang turned in his best round of the championships with an even-par 72. After a steady front nine, the senior closed on a high note, carding three birdies on a two-under back nine. Zhang finished the tournament at four-over, placing 11th overall.

- Frank Zhou matched his second-round performance with another one-over-par effort, finishing the tournament at eight-over to tie for 18th overall.

- Max Ash tied for 23rd overall, while Michael Yuen finished at 26th. Yuen had his best round of the tournament at three-over, while Ash logged his second-straight, four-over performance.
