FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's golf team climbed two spots in the standings to finish tied for fifth out of 10 teams at the Gettysburg Spring Shootout on Saturday.

The Garnet improved by nine strokes from their opening-round performance, posting a 303 (+15) to close out the tournament. Dylan Zhang led the charge on day two with a one-under-par 71, finishing five-over for the tournament and securing 10th place overall.


HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zhang improved on his opening-round score by five strokes to finish 10th overall. The junior bounced back with five birdies on the day, including two over the final five holes, finishing at five-over for the tournament to lead the Garnet.

- Andy Xin carded a 75 (+3), shaving two strokes off his first-round total. The junior recorded one birdie and delivered a steady performance to earn a 15th-place finish.

- Max Ash made a strong comeback after a tough opening round, climbing 11 spots on the leaderboard. The sophomore fired a 74 (+2) with four birdies, finishing 13-over for the tournament.

- Yuxuan Wang slipped to 35th overall after closing with an 83 (+11). The sophomore started strong with an eagle on the par-five second hole but struggled to maintain momentum through the rest of the round.

- Judah Fulchiero rounded out Swarthmore's lineup, placing 46th. The first-year shot an 86 (+14) to conclude his tournament.
