WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team secured three event victories at the Bill Butler Invitational, hosted by West Chester University on Saturday. The Garnet finished fourth overall with 84 team points.
Alina Irvine,
Lydia Morris-Kliment, and
Trel Trelstad each earned individual wins for Swarthmore. Irvine took first place in the 800m run, while Morris-Kliment and Trelstad claimed victories in the discus and javelin, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Irvine won the 800m run with a time of 2:22.71. She was followed by
Morgan Mouer, who claimed third at 2:26.51.
- Morris-Kliment and
Tate Garcia claimed the top-two positions in the discus throw. Morris-Kliment led the field at 41.79m, while Garcia followed with a mark of 38.98m.
Leilani Fleming also performed well, earning ninth overall at 28.45m.
- Trelstad won the high jump with a top mark of 1.55m. The senior cleared the top height on their first attempt. They also finished sixth overall in the javelin (29.32m), while
Hannah Swale took eighth at 27.88m.
- Garcia was second in the shot put with a distance of 12.41m.
Jordyn Bernard also qualified for the finals with a 10.66m mark, claiming sixth.

Caroline Hill took third overall in the 100m hurdles. The sophomore finished with a time of 16.86 to set a new personal record.

Vivian Molnar earned the highest finish of her career with a fifth-place effort in the 400m hurdles, finishing at 1:19.18.

Hannah Garrou finished sixth overall in the 100m dash at 13.38. The junior made her outdoor debut for this season.

Katelyn Becker recorded her first career top-10 finish with seventh place in the 400m dash. The senior finished at 1:03.70 as she made her debut in the event.
Lucy Valencia was also 16th in the event at 1:08.79.

Morgan McErlean ran a 5:17.80 to grab a ninth-place finish in the 1500m run.
Edie Hoganson (5:17.80) and
Aaliyah Anaskevich (5:43.51) placed inside the top-20 at 14th and 18th overall, respectively.

Evie Parts finished with a time of 40:30.70 to post the top finish in the 10000 run on Friday.
