Women’s Track Earns Several Top-10 Finishes at Danny Curran Finale

CHESTER, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track and field team wrapped up the Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday with several standout performances.

Trel Trelstad recorded the top finish of the day, earning runner-up honors in the high jump. The senior also added a top-10 finish in the javelin, leading the Garnet in both events.

Elizabeth Page and Ania Wong highlighted the action on the track with top-10 finishes in the 800m run. Page placed fifth overall, while Wong finished in ninth. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trelstad carried their high jump success from the indoor season into the outdoor season, clearing 1.55m on their first attempt to secure a runner-up finish. The senior also placed sixth overall in the javelin with a top throw of 35.14m. Hannah Swale (31.73m) and Amelia Landry (28.66m) also put together strong performances in the javelin, earning 11th and 17th respectively. 

- Page and Wong both finished in the top 10 in the 800m run. Page took fifth with a time of 2:16.78, while Wong finished ninth at 2:19.34. Morgan Mouer placed just outside the top 10, finishing 12th with a time of 2:22.24. Katelyn Becker (2:29.06) and Leilani Fleming (2:29.57) also placed towards the top of half of the field in 31st and 33rd, respectively. 

- Elizabeth Agyei finished sixth in the hammer throw with a top mark of 44.19m.

- Alyson Goldbacher made her outdoor pole vault debut with a 3.05m height, reaching her highest mark on the second attempt. 

- Alina Irvine finished 21st overall in the 1500m run with a time of 4:56.96, while Morgan McErlean secured 43rd with a time of 5:13.95.
