ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's golf team sits in eighth place after the opening round of the McDaniel Spring Invitational at Bridges Golf Club on Saturday.
Swarthmore recorded a team score of 320 on the day.
Dylan Zhang led the Garnet with a 76 (+4) and is tied for seventh place on the leaderboard. He is three strokes off the lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zhang played consistently all afternoon, shooting par on 14 holes.
Yuxuan Wang and
Judah Fulchiero were just one stroke behind Zhang, each carding a 77 (+5) to tie for 10
th place after day one. The pair tallied three birdies apiece. Fulchiero is playing as an individual in the tournament.

Andy Xin finished the round with an 81 (+9) and is tied for 38
th place.
Max Ash totaled three birdies and posted an 86 (+14) to sit in a tie for 71
st place.
Neil Zhu scored one birdie and is tied for 79
th place with an 89 (+17).
