CARLISLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team finished fourth out of 16 teams at the Dickinson Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The Garnet posted an 11-over-par with a two-day score of 587.

Max Ash led the Garnet with a fourth-place individual finish. The sophomore shot one-under par with a two-day score of 143, opening with a 71 (-1) and finishing with an even-par round in the final round. Ash carded his lowest round of the season to open the tournament, while matching his previous best to close out the weekend. 


HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ash shot rounds of 71 and 72 to finish one-under-par for the tournament. The sophomore opened the weekend with four birdies and closed with three birdies and an eagle, ending with a two-day score of 143 to tie for fourth overall.

- Yuxuan Wang tied for 12th overall with a two-day score of 147. The sophomore shot a 73 in the opening round and a 74 in the final round, finishing three-over for the tournament. He recorded eight birdies, seven of which came in the first round.

- Dylan Zhang and Neil Zhu both tied for 16th overall at four-over-par. Zhang opened with a 78, then shot a two-under in the final round, finishing strong with just one bogey. He combined for five birdies overall. Zhu shot even par in the first round with six birdies, but closed the event with a four-over round. The junior recorded the top score among individual competitors. 

- Andy Xin tied for 19th overall, finishing as the fifth Swarthmore golfer in the top-20. He shot an even-par 72 in the opening round, but carded a six-over on the second day. Xin recorded four birdies over the weekend.

- Judah Fulchiero rounded out Swarthmore's competitors at 12-over-par. The first-year shot a 77 in the final round after opening with a 79. Fulchiero finished with seven birdies, five of which came in the closing round.
