NEW ORLEANS – The Swarthmore College men's cross country team received All-Academic distinction and had four individuals recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Garnet produced a team GPA of 3.68 to earn the honor. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

Spencer Etheridge,
Atticus Hempel,
Cohen Manges, and
Kenneth Relovsky were chosen USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
Manges led Swarthmore at the NCAA Metro Region Championships with a time of 25:12.1 for 11
th place in a field of 186 runners. Relovsky came in 15
th with a career-best 25:24.0 while Hempel took 17
th in 25:29.5. Etheridge set a new personal record (25:49.1) in finishing in 32
nd place. The group helped the Garnet place fourth in the team standings.
