BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's cross country team finished 14th overall out of 45 teams in a competitive field at the Paul Short Run 8k white race on Friday afternoon. The Garnet finished as the top team in the Metro Region, edging out Rowan University, Haverford College and The College of New Jersey. 

Jasper Mosley led the way for the Garnet with a 46th place finish. The sophomore ran a personal record as he helped propel the Garnet up the leaderboard against elite competition. Matthew Fleming, Charlie Schuetz and Luka Opacic-Rodrigues also earned personal records, while placing inside the team's top-seven. 


HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mosley improved his personal record by nearly 50-seconds to pace the men in the white race. The sophomore, who has made tremendous strides this season, posted a personal record for the third-straight race with a time of 25:15.9. He placed 46th overall.

- Cohen Manges followed closely behind the sophomore with a 58th-place effort. The junior crossed the finish line at 25:25.5 to clock the team's second fastest time. 

- Fleming placed inside the top-100 with a 76th-place finish. The junior raced to a time of 25:32.6 to achieve a new personal record. He improved his previous best by 50-seconds, which was set at the Rowan Border Battle as a rookie. 

- Schuetz and Opacic-Rodrigues were 125th and 129th, respectively. Schuetz ran a time of 25:57.1, while Opacic-Rodrigues trailed closely at 25:58.9. Both achieved new personal records.

- Teddy King-Pollet took 151st overall at 26:13.7, while Joey Alander rounded out the top-seven with a 26:19.1 mark. Alander placed 163rd overall.
