Bickford competes in weight throw at F&M

Women’s Track & Field Competes at McElligott Invite

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team wrapped up the weekend with the final day of Haverford's Seamus McElligott Invitational on Saturday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alyson Goldbacher placed fourth in the pole vault with a top mark of 2.90m. The first-year cleared the mark on her second attempt. 

- Lee Bickford finished sixth overall in the weight throw on Friday night. The senior recorded a top distance of 12.74m on their first throw of the finals. They also placed eighth overall in the shot put (11.06m), while Jordyn Bernard (11.04m) followed in 10th. 

- Aaliyah Anaskevich and Evie Parts finished sixth and seventh in the 3000m run. Anaskevich led the duo with a time of 11:20.70, while Parts followed at 11:33.34. 

- Lucy Valencia took eighth overall in the 400m run. The sophomore made her collegiate debut in the event with a time of 1:07.82. 

- Eli Dellinger posted a personal record in the mile. The senior crossed the finish line at 6:30.73 to beat her previous best by 15 seconds. 

UP NEXT
The Garnet return to action next weekend at the Fastrack National Invitational and the Frank Colden Invitational.
