WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Swarthmore College men's golf team opened play at the two-day Williams Invitation on Saturday. The Garnet currently sit in 11th out of 19 teams.

Judah Fulchiero shot four-over-par to lead the Garnet on the afternoon. The first-year carded his lowest round of the season to place 14th overall after the opening round. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fulchiero shot a 75 (+4) to pace the Garnet for the afternoon. The first-year had his best round of the season to tie for 14th overall to open play. Fulchiero birdied two holes on the front nine and one on the back.

- Max Ash shot six-over-par to place 28th overall. The sophomore carded a 77 with three birdies for the opening round.

- Andy Xin followed closely behind Ash at seven-over-par to position himself in 39th place. The junior carded a 78 with his lone birdie on the first hole. 

- Yuxuan Wang rounded out the scorers for Swarthmore. The sophomore tied for 49th overall with a 79 (+8) to open play. Chad Kemmerer also competed for the Garnet with an 87 (+16).
