CHESTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's track & field team set several personal records on the way to a 10
th-place finish at Widener University's Paul Donahue Invitational on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 4x400 meter relay of
Hannah Garrou,
Cami Bortz,
Miranda Kashynski, and
Kiara Pedra ran the Garnet's fastest time in the event this season (4:08.73) and won their heat on the way to a fourth-overall finish.
- Four Swarthmore runners posted personal bests in the 800 meters, led by
Sophie Goodwin (2:16.71) who came in sixth place.
Lucy Valencia (2:29.07),
Bella Thoen (2:29.47), and
Charisma Hasan (2:37.13) also ran top times. Hasan came in first in her heat.

Lydia Morris-Kliment recorded a distance of 17' 1.25" (5.21m) to come in seventh place in the long jump.
Alyssa Zhang (16' 9.75", 5.12m) and
Caroline Hill (15' 1.5", 4.61m) both registered personal records and took ninth and 15
th respectively. Morris-Kliment also competed in the 100 meters and won her heat with a collegiate-best 13.02.

Hannah Swale tossed the javelin a personal-record 110' 4" (33.63m), which was good for eighth place.
Evie Parts and
Edie Hoganson placed eighth (12:53.79) and 11
th (14:21.83) respectively in the 3000 meter steeplechase, both with their top times.

Olivia Montini (4:50.39) and
Alina Irvine (4:51.13) crossed 14
th and 17
th respectively in the 1500 meters with personal bests.
Tate Garcia produced a personal-record toss of 127' 10" (38.97m) in the hammer throw with
Megan Bickford also notching her best throw (118' 10", 36.23m).
- Kashynski ran her best times in both the 200 (26.96) and 400 (1:01.65) meters. Bortz and Pedra also had their top marks in the 400 with times of 1:02.52 and 1:05.49 respectively.

On Friday, Morris-Kliment will compete in the discus at the famous Penn Relays while the rest of the squad heads to The College of New Jersey for the Lions Invitational.
