MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team finished strong with several top-10 efforts at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Saturday.
Trelstad T earned the highest finish with a second-place effort in the collegiate high jump, while the throws had an outstanding day with top-five finishes from Tate Garcia and Lydia Morris-Kliment.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trelstad placed second in the high jump with a top mark of 1.58m. After clearing the 1.53m mark on their first attempt, they cleared their top mark on the second try.
- Garcia was fourth overall in the shot put with a top throw of 12.49m. The throw marked a new personal best for the sophomore.
- Morris-Kliment was fifth in the discus throw with a top distance of 41.49m. Amelia Landry also earned a personal record in the event with a 28.12m throw.

Sophie Goodwin took seventh place in the 3000m run with a time of 11:09.92.
- Goodwin also finished ninth in the collegiate triple jump with a top distance of 11.06m. Alyssa Zhang was also 18th in the event with a personal record of 10.64m.
- Olivia Montini was 15th overall in the collegiate 800m run. The sophomore raced to a time of 2:25.12.
- Téa Malone-Bonacci ran a 5:43.89 mile to place 22nd overall in the collegiate mile. Lucy Valencia also competed in the event with a time of 5:55.59.
- Miranda Kashynski achieved a personal best in the 400m run with a time of 1:01.88. The effort earned her 25th overall in the collegiate race.
