Women’s Track & Field Earns Several Top-Five FInishes at Frank Colden Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team continued its indoor slate at the Ursinus College Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday.

Téa Malone-Bonacci highlighted the afternoon with a first place effort in the 3000m run, while Tate Garcia and Elizabeth Agyei led the way for the throwers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Malone-Bonnaci captured the top spot in the 3000m run with a 11:15.76 effort. Bella Thoen (12:06.41) and Charisma Hasan (12:31.68) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

- Agyei took third overall in the weight throw with a top distance of 13.80m. Megan Bickford also broke the top-10 with a season-best throw of 12.23m.

- Garcia finished fourth overall in the shot put with a best throw of 11.32m. The sophomore recorded the top mark on her final throw of the event. Hannah Swale also qualified for the final as she took ninth overall with a personal record of 10.64m.

- Sophia Springer placed fifth in the pole vault with a top height of 2.75m. The sophomore cleared her top height on her first attempt.

- Miranda Kashynski earned a seventh place finish in the 400m run with a time of 1:03.69. Cami Bortz also secured a top-10 spot for the Garnet with a personal record of 1:05.14 to place 10th overall. The senior took nearly a second off her personal record-setting mark from last week.
