Wang Finishes as Runner-Up at Mason Dixon

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team tied for fifth overall to earn a top-five finish at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate on Sunday. The Garnet carded their lowest two-round score of the season with a 591 (+15) to wrap up their fall campaign.

Yuxuan Wang earned a runner-up finish after carding a program record in the opening round. The sophomore finished five-under-par for the tournament with eight birdies and one eagle.
 



HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wang shot one-over-par in the final round of the Mason Dixon. The sophomore carded a 73 with two more birdies to add to his total. Wang tied with three players to finish two strokes behind the individual champion.

- Chad Kemmerer wrapped up a very solid weekend with a 76 (+4) in the final round. The senior finished three-over-par for the tournament to tie for 20th place. Kemmerer combined for a team-best nine birdies on the weekend. 

- Max Ash finished seven-over-par to tie for 34th place. The sophomore shot a 77 (+5) in the final round with another pair of birdies. 

- Andy Xin improved on his opening round score by four strokes. Xin carded a 76 (+4) with five birdies in the second round. He finished tied for 55th overall.

- Judah Fulchiero bounced back with a 75 (+3) for the final round. The rookie improved his opening round score by nine strokes to tie for 67th overall.

UP NEXT
The men's golf team will return to action in the spring. Ava Chon will compete as an individual at the Ursinus Fall Invitational on Thursday.
