SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's track and field team picked up a pair of victories at Haverford College's Seamus McElligott Invitational across Friday and Saturday.
Sophie Goodwin was the victor in the 800 meters with a time of 2:23.86. The Garnet finished 1-2 in the 5000 meters with
Olivia Montini posting a winning time of 19:07.30 followed by Téa Malone-Bonacci in 19:57.53.
Elsewhere,
Hannah Swale and
Trelstad represented the squad at Bucknell University's Bison Open and Multi. Swale placed fifth in the pentathlon (2832 points) with Trelstad tying for 12
th in the high jump (4' 11", 1.50m).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Goodwin won the 800 by 1.21 seconds over the second-place finisher. She also was the runner-up in the triple jump with a career-best distance of 35' 0.5" (10.68m).
- Montini and Malone-Bonnaci dominated the field in the 5000 with Malone-Bonnaci coming in nearly 20 seconds ahead of the third-place runner.

Lydia Morris-Kliment took second in the long jump with a leap of 16' 7.75" (5.07m). She also came in fifth in the 200 meters (27.41) and 11
th in the 60 meters (8.35) with a pair of personal bests.

Tate Garcia and
Megan Bickford had solid showings in the shot put, placing third (36' 7.5", 11.16m) and sixth (31' 7.25", 9.63m) respectively. In the 400 meters,
Miranda Kashynski posted a career-best time of 1:03.46 for third place while
Elizabeth Agyei was fifth in the weight throw (45' 8.5", 13.93m).
