Women’s Track & Field Opens New Year at The Armory

NEW YORK - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team returned from winter break for their second meet of the indoor season at the TCNJ Lions Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Elizabeth Agyei headlined the day at The Armory with another personal record as she claimed a top-five finish in the weight throw for the second-straight meet. Trelstad also posted a top-10 mark in their high jump season debut. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Agyei continued her excellent start to the indoor season with another personal record and another top-five effort in the weight throw. After winning the event in her season debut, the junior took fifth overall with a mark of 14.57m. Agyei bested her previous top throw by 0.50m. 

- Trelstad claimed a top-10 finish with an eighth place effort in the high jump. The junior took eighth place with a top height of 1.57m in their season debut. 

- Sophie Goodwin took 12th overall in the 500m run. The first-year made her collegiate debut in the event with a time of 1:24.72.

- Olivia Montini placed 18th overall in a crowded 3000m field. The sophomore crossed the finish line at 10:58.24
