Zhu Earns Top-Five Finish at Elizabethtown Invite

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team finished fifth overall out of 14 teams at the Elizabethtown College Invite at the Hershey Country Club on Thursday. The team collected a top-five finish with a team score of 331.

The reigning Centennial Golfer of the Week, Neil Zhu, paced the Garnet with a 77 (+6) on the afternoon. The first-year finished fifth individually to earn his fifth top-five finish of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zhu continued his impressive rookie campaign with another top-five finish to lead Swarthmore. The first-year carded a 77 to finish six-over-par for the round. Zhu has shot below 80 in nine out of 11 rounds as he entered play with a team-best average score of 75.40.

- Ben Lee placed 14th overall and finished with the team's second lowest total. The junior shot a 82 to finish 11-over-par.

- Andy Xin tied for 28th overall with an 85 (+14), while Chad Kemmerer carded an 87 (+16) to tie for 38th. Jackson Murphy also competed for the Garnet with a 94 (+23).

The Garnet return to action as they host the Swarthmore DuPont Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
