SWARTHMORE PA. - Splitting the team for two meets, the Swarthmore women's track & field team competed at both TCNJ's Lion Invitational and UPenn's Penn Relays on Friday, Apr. 28.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Lion Invitational
- Kicking the day off on the track, the Garnet saw two top five finishes in the 5000m. First year
Olivia Montini placed second overall, finishing with a time of 18:27.84. Crossing the ticker tape just behind her teammate, first year
Iliana Gonzalez finished fifth with a time of 20:18.32.
- Moving over to field events, first year
Lily Fournier finished ninth in the triple jump, putting up a mark of 9.70m.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Penn Relays
- Representing the Garnet extremely well, senior
Adria Retter had an excellent outing at the University of Pennsylvania. Taking on DI opponents, Retter competed in both the shot put and the discus throw, finishing tenth in the shot put with a mark of 13.67m, and second in the discus with a mark of 47.65m.
