Schubert Leads Women’s Track at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team capped off the weekend at the Princeton Invitational on Sunday.

Johanna Schubert led the Garnet with a first place finish in the 800m run as she set a new personal record in the event. Swarthmore also received a trio of strong performances from Hannah Swale and a pair of top-three finishes by Adria Retter and Trelstad.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Schubert placed first overall in the 800m run with a 2:22.77 mark. The senior gained five positions on the back half of the event to set a new personal record in the event.

- Trelstad just missed her indoor personal record in the high jump with a top mark of 1.60m. The sophomore placed second in the event.

- Swale finished second overall with a top mark of 10.62m in the triple jump. The first-year also competed in the high jump (1.50m) and long jump (4.91m) with fifth place finishes.

- Retter competed in the shot put with a top throw of 13.23 to place third overall.

UP NEXT
The Garnet return to action at the Centennial Championships on Saturday.
