HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team opened their fall campaign at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course for the opening round of The Gauntlet on Sunday. Opening round play was paused due to darkness, but was completed Monday morning. The Garnet are tied for 12th after the opening round of competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Chad Kemmerer carded a 74 (+2) in the opening round. The sophomore opened with one birdie on the front nine, before finishing strong with two birdies on the back half. 

- Alex Cheriel ended the opening round at four-over with a 76. The junior earned a birdie on the eighth hole and made par on the 18th hole to close this morning's opening round. 

- Ben Lee finished five-over after finishing three holes this morning. Lee earned birdies on the second and 12th holes, respectively. The junior carded a 77 for the round.

- Gyan Bains and Andy Xin rounded out the Garnet's participants on the day. Both golfers carded an 82 (+10) for the round.
