ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.—Swarthmore College Men's Golf opened the 2017 portion of its season in Georgia at a tri-match against NAIA-powerhouse College of Coastal Georgia and NCAA Division I Villanova University. The Garnet finished in third with a score of 326 on the par-72, 6,723 yard Sea Island Golf Club Retreat Course.

Michael Chen led the Garnet with a 79 (+7) and Adam Agustin and Dan Altieri were right behind with an 80 and 81, respectively. Yousaf Razvi, competing as an individual carded an 84. Nick DiMaio provided the Garnet's fourth score with an 86.

Coastal Georgia finished first with a 282 and Villanova came in second with a 291. Taylor Guilbeau of Coastal Georgia had the lowest round, shooting a 69 (-3).

Swarthmore's next competition will be on March 25-26 at the McDaniel Invitational.
