WAVERLY, Iowa–Senior Katie Jo McMenamin recorded the second-best time in the 1,500 meter preliminaries at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships on Thursday, May 26.

McMenamin placed second in her heat with a time of 4:33.70 behind Oneonta's Rachel Shine. The Swarthmore senior advanced to Saturday's final at 1:35 PM local time (2:35 EDT) before closing out competition with the 5k race at 4:25 PM (5:25 EDT).
