MEN'S RESULTS
EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J.—Swarthmore College men's and women's track & field teams participated at the TCNJ Lion Invitational on Saturday in one last tune-up before the Centennial Conference Championships.
In the field,
Maggie O'Neil posted a shot put mark of 12.62 meters to finish first among Division III opponents and fifth overall. Her throw sets the new standard for the Centennial Conference this season. O'Neil also had a top-10 Centennial mark in the discus, slinging it 31.63 m.
Andrew Jansen finished in 12th overall in the men's discus with a throw of 40.32 m which was also good for 10th in the Centennial this year. Jared Hunt made a discus throw of 38.26 meters.
Daniel Belkin leapt 13.23 m in the triple jump, setting the second-longest Centennial mark this year and finishing in third among DIII opponents at the Lions Invitational. Belkin finished 18th overall in the long jump (6.2 m) and 23rd in the high jump (1.82 m).
In the men's 3,000 m steeplechase, freshman Garrett Ruley finished in seventh with a time of 10:18.77.
William Colgan finished 15th overall in the 1,500 m, running the race in 4:07.85.
Bret Serbin ran the women's 5,000 m in 19:22.22 to finish 10th overall.
In the women's sprints,
Kayla Camacho had three top-15 finishes. She came in 12th in the 400 m (1:00.84), 13th in the 200 m (26.49) and 15th in the 100 m (13.02).
Swarthmore Track & Field competes in the Centennial Championships May 6-8.
