CHESTER, Pa. and PRINCETON, N.J.—Swarthmore College Women's Track & Field competed at Widener's Outdoor Invitational and Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Swarthmore senior
Katie Jo McMenamin set a new school record in the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:26.19 at Princeton, completing the run as the top Division III finisher. McMenamin trimmed 10 seconds off her previous record set in the first weekend of April. Her time is the third-fastest in all of Division III.
Sarah Nielsen ran the 1,500-meters in 4:38.97, a top-50 time nationwide for Division III.
At Widener,
Maggie O'Neil won the shot put with a throw of 12.16 meters.
Kayla Camacho ran to seventh overall, third among Division III runners in the 100-meters with a time of 12.79. Camacho came in 8th in the 200-meters (25.98).
Kate Crowley finished the steeplechase in 12:38.94 for seventh overall.
Swarthmore runs in the Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday.
