WIDENER RESULTSSEAMUS MCELLIGOTT RESULTSHAVERFORD, Pa.–The Swarthmore College women's track & field team competed at both the Widener Field Meet and the Seamus McElligott Invitational hosted by Haverford College this weekend as the Garnet continued their indoor season.
On Friday afternoon at Widener, freshman jumpers
Greta Studier and Rachel Leifeld achieved a height of 1.47 meters in the high jump.
At Saturday's Seamus McElligott Invite, senior
Sarah Nielsen achieved an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III qualifying time with her mark of 2:20.85 en route to a second-place finish. Junior Indy-Reid Shaw finished right behind in 2:23.59 and
Kate Hannah placed seventh with a time of 2:28.31.
Sophomore
Jenn Beltran led the way in the 400-meter dash in a personal-best 1:04.42 for a fourth-place result. Junior
Lulu Allen-Waller (1:04.62) finished fifth just ahead of freshman
Kayla Camacho (1:05.28) in sixth.
In the one-mile run, freshman
Kenzie Himelein-Wachowiak paced the Garnet with her time of 5:26.05 as she won her section and posted the sixth-best time at the meet.
Irina Bukharin had the seventh-fastest time with her mark of 5:29.85.
The team will compete next Saturday at the Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College and the Villanova Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
