Men’s Golf Places Third at Championships; Park Named All-Conference

The Swarthmore men's golf team finished third at the 2015 Centennial Conference Championships.


FULL RESULTS

WILMINGTON, Del. – The Swarthmore College men's golf team concluded competition at the 2015 Centennial Conference Championships on Sunday, Apr. 26 with a third-place finish behind champions Franklin & Marshall and runner-up McDaniel.

The Garnet recorded a three-day total of 931 on the 6763-yard, par-71 course at DuPont Country Club in Wilimington, Del. Senior Andrew Park led the team with a 226, good for fifth overall and a spot on the All-Conference team. Sophomore Michael Chen was the next finisher for Swarthmore and was part of a three-way tie for 12th with his overall score of 237.

Yousaf Razvi, Andrew Pak, and Drew Langan all placed close to one another with their respective scores of 237, 238, and 240. On Sunday, Park, Chen, and Pak all carded 75s while Razvi and Langan each finished with 78 strokes.

The Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall carried the day with the top three overall finishers and a 30-stroke lead over second-place McDaniel.

The Swarthmore men's golf program is slated to return five letterwinners next season.
