Andrew Park's 2-under-par 69, the Swarthmore College golf team won the Widener Invitational with a score of 310 at the Rolling Green Golf Club on Monday, Apr. 20.
Park captured the individual title by finishing three strokes ahead of Ursinus' Lamar Saxon to lead the way for the Garnet. Sophomore
Michael Chen fired a 77 to place third, while junior Jason Joliffe and freshman
Yousaf Razvi completed the team score by firing identical marks of 82 on the par-71, 6,695-yard circuit.
The Garnet's team score of 310 easily beat out runner-up Widener's mark of 328. Ursinus finished third with a team total of 335.
Swarthmore will host the Centennial Conference Championships for the second consecutive season at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Del. from Apr. 24-26 and look to improve upon last year's third-place finish.
