Osazenoriuwa Ebose recorded a pair of top-three finishes to lead the Swarthmore College women's track & field team at the USF Invitational on Friday, March 13.
Ebose, who was recently named the Centennial Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, placed second in the discus throw with a toss that sailed 133-feet, 3-inches and third in the shot put with a mark of 43-7.75. Both marks were just shy of her school records.
Other notable performances were made by sophomores
Lulu Allen-Waller and
Indy Reid-Shaw as well as freshman
Irina Bukharin. Allen-Waller recorded collegiate-best times of 15.85 seconds in the 100-meter high hurdles and 1:07.29 in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles, placing eighth in both events. Reid-Shaw was ninth in the 3,000 in 10:52.22, while Bukharin finished the 1,500 in 5:08.66 to place ninth. Sophomore
Anise Charles recorded a collegiate-best mark of 27.92 in the 200.
Swarthmore will compete at Widener's Danny Curran Invitational on March 27 and 28.
