COMPLETE RESULTSHAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's track and field team opened the indoor portion of its season on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Jack Pyrah Invitational hosted by Villanova University at Haverford College. The invitational featured competitors from all three NCAA divisions and local running clubs as well.
Sophomore
Lea Slauch won her heat of the 60 meter dash in 8.54, beating freshman
Simran Khanna by five hundredths of a seconds. Sophomore
Jenn Beltran also captured her heat of the 500 meter run, finishing in 1:26.57. Freshman
Kayla Camacho was not far behind in her collegiate debut with a time of 1:27.93.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Beltran, Camacho,
Katie Lin, and
Olivia Colon edged out the foursome from Franklin & Marshall as the top Division III finisher with a 4:24.09 mark.
The team resumes competition at the Golden Bear Invitational on Friday, Jan. 15 at 12:00 p.m.
