LANCASTER, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Golf shot a 312 on Monday afternoon at Bent Creek Country Club to finish in a three-way tie for fifth place at the F&M Fall Invitational. The Garnet finished ahead of 12 teams.
Freshman
Dan Altieri led the Garnet with a 72 (+1) on the 6,434-yard course. His 72 was even with three other golfers for fifth overall. Franklin & Marshall's Benjamin Mitchell took the top spot on the leaderboard with a 70. The host Diplomats fielded two teams and their "Blue" team won with a combined score of 294.
Swarthmore's
Vamsi Damerla shot a 79 for the second-best Garnet score on the day.
Nick DiMaio finished one stroke behind Damerla, and
Drew Langan was a stroke behind him at 81.
Hunter Hughes carded an 88 for Swarthmore.
The Garnet have one more tournament remaining in the fall season. They play at Pennsauken Country Club on Oct. 26.
