RESULTSCHESTER, Pa. – Sophomore
Katherine Zavez won the pole vault to lead the Swarthmore College women's track & field team at the Widener Field Meet on Friday, Jan. 30 at the Schwartz Athletic Center.
Zavez, who is also a member of the Swarthmore women's soccer team which recently won its first Centennial Conference title, cleared the bar at 8-feet, 4.25-inches to win the individual crown over two competitors from Delaware Valley. Senior thrower
Osazenoriuwa Ebose also competed at the non-scoring meet, recording a second-place mark of 40-8.25 in the shot put which placed her ahead of two Villanova competitors. Both student-athletes qualified for the Centennial Conference Championships.
Swarthmore next travels to Haverford to compete at the McElligott Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11:00 a.m.
