COMPLETE RESULTSNEW YORK, N.Y. - The Swarthmore College women's track and field team traveled to the Armory Track & Field Center on Friday, Jan. 16 to open the new year, competing in the New York City Gotham Cup. The non-scoring meet featured student-athletes from all three NCAA Divisions as well as professional runners.
The top Garnet performance came from the distance medley relay team consisting of sophomore
Indy Reid-Shaw, sophomore
Anise Charles, junior
Katie Lin and junior
Sarah Nielsen. The group's 12:32.86 mark was an ECAC qualifying time and also the fastest mark in the country among Division III schools to date. This finish also earned them fourth place overall behind three Division I teams.
In the field events, senior
Osazenoriuwa Ebose launched the shot put 41-feet, 9.25-inches, placing 9th overall and qualifying for ECACs.
Swarthmore returns to action next weekend at the Tiger Invitational in Princeton, N.J. on Saturday, Jan. 24.
