FULL RESULTSWilmington, Del. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team sits in third place after one round of the Centennial Conference Championship on Friday, Apr. 25 at the DuPont Country Club. The Garnet carded a team total of 318.
Swarthmore sits ahead of Dickinson College, which also shot 318, but lost a scorecard playoff. Franklin & Marshall College shot a 307 to end the day in first while McDaniel College fired a 312, which was good enough for second place. Brad Lankler of Franklin & Marshall leads all individuals after carding a 72 on the par-71, 6,763-yard course.
The Garnet were paced by senior
Sam White and freshman
Michael Chen. Both players shot a 79 and are tied for 11th in the individual field. Seniors
Price Ferchill and
Jeff Wall as well as junior
Andrew Park carded identical marks of 80 and are tied for 18th.
Swarthmore resumes competition at the league's championship meet tomorrow afternoon.
