ROLLING GREEN FULL RESULTSSCRANTON, Pa. –
Jeff Wall tied for 12th individually to lead the Swarthmore College golf team to a fifth-place finish out of 12 schools at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational on Monday, Apr. 14 at the Glenmaura National Golf Course.
On a blustery second day, Wall backed up his first round score 79 with another 79 to pace the Garnet, which finished with a team score of 643. Senior
Price Ferchill shot an 82, senior
Sam White fired an 83 and junior
Andrew Park carded an 85 to round out the team score in the final round on the par-71, 6,765-yard course. Senior
Kyle Knapp also competed and shot a 92.
McDaniel College won the tournament with a score of 623 and was led by Brian Norwitz, who shot a 150 and was the individual champion.
In addition, Swarthmore had five student-athletes compete individually in a quad match at the Rolling Green Golf Club in nearby Springfield. Sophomore
Andrew Pak carded a 77, which was the third-highest mark among 20 golfers on the par-71, 6,553-yard circuit.
The Garnet are slated to compete again on
Tuesday,
April 15 in the Ursinus Invitational at the Stonewall Golf Club in Elverson, Pa.
