FULL RESULTSSPRINGFIELD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College golf team won its first Quad Match of the season with a score of 306 on a par-71, 6,553 yard at the Rolling Green Golf Club on Monday, March 31.
Swarthmore's "A" team was led by senior
Price Ferchill and junior
Andrew Park, who each shot a 74 to share the individual title, along with Joe Parker of Philadelphia University. The group, which placed first out of nine teams, also counted rounds of 79 by senior
Kyle Knapp and freshman
Michael Chen; senior
Jeff Wall's round of 80 did not count for the Swarthmore "A" team.
The Garnet also entered a "B" squad, which was led by senior
Sam White's round of 77. The "B" team shot 333 and placed seventh.
Swarthmore next competes in Pennsauken, N.J. at the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors Spring Golf Invitational on Friday, April 4.
Notes: Swarthmore also picked up a point in the 320 Challenge over Widener by finishing ahead of the Pride at today's tournament … The Garnet now lead 9-6 in the series with four sports left to be counted this spring.
