COMPLETE RESULTSHAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore women's track and field team began its indoor season at the Jack Pyrah Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 6 hosted by Haverford College. The non-scoring meet featured a total of eight teams from all three divisions.
Sophomore Lulu Allen-Waller finished first for the Garnet and 25th out of 44 runners in the 300-meter dash with a time of 45.28 seconds. Allen-Waller's teammates, which included senior
Julia Nee (45.85), freshman
Lea Slauch (46.04), and freshman
Becky Tang (46.92), finished close behind. In addition, Allen-Waller was 15th in the 60-meter high hurdles by hitting the tape in 10.05.
In the 800-meter run, Junior
Katie Lin placed seventh out of 17 runners with a time of 2.27.63. Freshman Jennifer Beltran crossed the line at 2.29.31 and finished eighth after Lin.
After winter break, Swarthmore will return to the track on January 16th in New York City as they compete in the NYC Gotham Cup.
