Michael Chen led the Swarthmore College golf team to a fifth-place finish among 12 scoring teams at the Immaculata Fall Invitational on Monday, October 27 at the Whitford Country Club.
Chen tied for 12th by shooting an 78 to pace the Garnet, who were competing as a four-man team. He was followed by freshman
Yousaf Razvi, who fired a 79, and sophomore
Drew Langan with an 81. The team was rounded out by junior
Jason Jolliffe, who carded an 88.
Albright won the team competition by firing a team score of 301 to squeeze past Cabrini by one stroke. Michael Rojas of Cabrini won the individual crown by shooting a level par 71 on the 6,409-yard course.
The invitational marked the Garnet's final event of the fall season. The team will return to competition next spring.
