HARRISBURG, Pa. - Junior Price Ferchill shot a team-low 77 to lead the Swarthmore College golf team on the first day of the three-round Centennial Conference Golf Championships from the Blue Ridge Golf Club on Friday afternoon.

As a team, the Garnet totaled 314, good for third place overall. Swarthmore trails first-place McDaniel by 13 strokes (301). F&M is in second place with a score of 306.

Ferchill's 77 has him tied for fifth overall following the first round. Juniors Sam White and Jeff Wall both posted 78, one shot off of Ferchill and good for 10th overall. Sophomore Andrew Park rounded out the Garnet scorers with an 81. Junior Kyle Knapp posted an 85.

Andrew Kane leads the field with an 18-hole total of 73, one stroke ahead of F&M's Dan Gilbert.
