SPRINGFIELD, Pa. – Junior Jeff Wall claimed the individual title with an 81 in cool, blustery conditions at the final Swarthmore Invitational of the season from the Rolling Green Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
Following right behind were seniors Jake Carter and Kyle Krainock with 82s in the final home match of their Swarthmore careers. They would lead the "B" squad to a tie with the "A" squad with a team total of 340 among the field of six teams.
Juniors Kyle Knapp, Sam White, and Price Ferchill played on the "A" team and shot 83, 86, and 90, respectively. A 93 by freshman Andrew Pak would round out the scoring for the "A" team.
In the women's golf contest, Lauren Cusack of Neumann edged out Swarthmore's
Amanda Beebe 85 to 90.
The Garnet compete in the Messiah College Invitational at Blue Ridge Country Club tomorrow, the site of the men's Centennial Conference championship on April 26-28.
