ASHLAND, Va. – Drew Tyson represented the Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team at the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's Division III Senior All-Star Game last week at Randolph-Macon College.
The senior goalkeeper earned the start for the South All-Stars and stopped 12 of the 17 shots he faced in one half of action. Tyson also collected three ground balls and caused two turnovers. His squad held a 6-5 lead when the Garnet standout exited the game and pulled away in the second half for a 15-9 victory.
Tyson received All-America honorable mention this season after going 11-8 with a program-record 236 saves in the cage for Swarthmore. He ranked 23
rd in Division III in save percentage (.588). The 2024 Centennial Defensive Player of the Year produced a season-high 22 saves at Muhlenberg College in the conference tournament. Tyson ended his career with 638 saves, good for third on the program's all-time list.
